When to Go
Families and students alike travel to Panama City during March and April for spring break. The offseason makes for a quieter vacation stay, but with limited water access due to cooler temperatures.
Panama City Beach offers 27 miles of Gulf beaches and two protected state parks. Take US-98 east to see the inland city of Panama City.
As you’d expect, you’ll find plenty of seafood restaurants here. If you’re a fan of oysters, try the ones harvested from local Apalachicola Bay. Just south of Panama City, this bay supplies nearly 90 percent of Florida’s oysters.
When the sun goes down, the nightlife heats up. Panama City Beach is famous for its abundance of bars and clubs, which keep the vacation party going all day and all night.
