Lay of the Land
St. Thomas is just 13 miles long and less than 4 miles wide, but it’s full of island possibilities. Charlotte Amalie is the main town with sights, restaurants and an active cruise port.
Eat up conch, curried goat, fungi (dumpling), jerk chicken, johnnycake (fried dough), kallaloo salted fish, pâtés (meat- or vegetable-filled pastries) and spiny lobster.
Passports are not necessary to enter St. Thomas or any of the U.S. Virgin Islands for US citizens.
